Katherine Mitchell lives in St. Louis Missouri. Her poems and essays have been published in several journals, including The Southern Review, Persimmon Tree and december. She teaches movement-based classes for writers, allowing writers to experience composing with movement and a more embodied writing. Venues have included Washington University in St. Louis and the Balance Arts Center in NYC.

Katherine holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Missouri—St. Louis. She has read her work aloud at Focal Point, Clark Central Library, with The Canyon Poets and Poetry Global Network, and has volunteered for the St. Louis Poetry Center.
